Dr. Mohammad Reza Mohseni, CEO of Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI), said: “currently, the shareholders of 36 countries are acting in Iran's capital market”
According to the Public Relations Department of CSDI, quoting Iranian Labor News Agency, Dr. Mohseni in response to a question about the total number of shareholders at the end of April, stated: “By the end of April, the total number of shareholders totaled 8 million and 863 thousand, of which 4 million and 520 thousand were men and 2 million and 88 thousand people were women.”
Mohseni added: "at the present, shareholders from 36 countries are trading in Iran's capital market that is important to note that after the implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, European investors presence and the value of their transactions has significantly increased. Now investors from the Middle East, America, Canada, Britain, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Turkey, Italy, Norway, Greece, Cyprus, Luxembourg, China, Japan, Malaysia, etc. are present in Iran’s capital market.”
He pointed out: “CSDI is designing Islamic mutual fund so that the project will be introduced and operational in the second half of this year on the sidelines of the Islamic summit conference.
